Naar het gelijknamige kinderboek van Roald Dahl. Mr. Fox (George Clooney), Mrs. Fox en al hun vosbaby's leven onder een heuvel onder een boom, samen met Das, Konijn, Wezel en iedereen van hun families. Om elke dag door te komen berooft Mr. Fox de boerderijen van drie verschillende boeren, om zo aan eten te komen voor iedereen. Mr. Fox is de drie domme boeren steeds te slim af. Maar als ze voor de zoveelste keer beroofd worden, komen ze bij elkaar en smeden ze een plan. Ze willen de ''fantastische Mr. Fox'' voorgoed uit de weg ruimen...

It is the story of one Mr. Fox and his wild-ways of hen heckling, turkey taking and cider sipping, nocturnal, instinctive adventures. He has to put his wild days behind him and do what fathers do best: be responsible. He is too rebellious. He is too wild.
