Who?s Next, 200-gram vinyl transfer 
1971 

OK, this time around I?ve transferred Classic Records? 2005 release of The Who?s 1971 LP ?Who?s Next? . 

This LP was mastered at Bernie Grundman Mastering from the original two-track 1/4' analog master tapes 
and was cut on Classics 'All Tube' cutting system, and pressed on 200g vinyl. 

While I?ve seen a number of comments saying that this pressing is the best they?ve heard this great album 
sound, they?ve also said that the quality control on this release left quite a bit to be desired. Indeed, 
I had to return the first LP I received because some tracks had just too much vinyl noise to make a transfer 
worthwhile. Fortunately the replacement LP allowed me to complete this transfer. 

Like a number of my ?drops, this LP was transferred at 96kHz/32-bit (float). All vinyl pops/clicks were 
manually removed via Adobe Audition. No EQ or NR has been applied. When ready, the audio was dithered down 
to 16-bit flac files.
