What is the Michel Thomas Method?


Over a period of more than fifty years, Michel Thomas developed and perfected a unique method of teaching languages.


Michel claimed, “Everybody has a tremendous drive for learning but learning has been traditionally associated with tension and hard work. Learning should be about excitement, not work. I offer a stress-free way to grasp the entire structural base of a foreign language.” 


His unique all-audio courses offer a totally self-contained way for students to learn at their own pace. 


They involve:

~ no writing

~ no homework 

~ and no memorising 


and remove the usual strains associated with learning by placing all the responsibility on him as the teacher. 


In essence, Michel Thomas breaks a language down to its component parts and enables learners to reconstruct the language themselves to form their own sentences, to say what they want, when they want. The experience of learning a language becomes so exciting and satisfying that it stimulates self-motivation and builds confidence.
