I can live with the shorter scenes, and there’s a large part of me that likes how varied the scene length is throughout the movie. The camera work being so tight in some of the scenes, however, just doesn’t work for me. I want to know who’s banging or licking who, and I want to have occasional shots of their faces to see just how much they’re enjoying things. There were many scenes here that didn’t give me that, and for that reason I didn’t enjoy Car Wash Angels nearly as much as some of Holliday’s other movies. That said, when there were shots of the faces, you could see the playfulness and enjoyment that drew me to Holliday’s movies in the first place. Car Wash Angels has most everything one expects with Jim Holliday behind the camera, and although it didn’t work quite as well for me as his others, it’s still a big reminder of the hole in the adult industry that was left by his passing. .
