I just got my copy of CAGED cracked, and I must say, it is like the secret decoder ring of the guitar! Amazing course! What an eye opener. If this doesn't increase your guitar 

vocabulary, then you may want to consider playing the Tuba instead :D I am utterly impressed!

Couldn't have said it better. This is a simple enough concept to get up and running by using barre chords...but you can take it sooooo much further by using the forms as a 

reference point while exploring scales, arpeggios, chords, melodies, etc... Secret decoder ring indeed!
