Cubase 5 in 29 Mb Installer and Portable ...





This is a fully portable installation of the main machine of Cubase 5,without Halion one and Vst instruments of CB5 and the reason is to see this beast working.


The installer let you install it ,anywhere you like and that file can be copied to any other computer that VST2 or VST3 plugins are present.





Asio4all Is included for alternative Asio Audio Drivers.


Nothing is written to your computer (Doggle drivers ect), because it's fully emulated ,can be used with older USB Emulation Key ,without destroying it and can share the majority of VST plugins that other music programs already manage ,from VSTPlugin files.


I use installer in order to incude Asio4all drivers,Windows Media Format 9.5 (that's required to be installed in your system,shortcut and file association.


To Unistall it,just erase "Steinberg Cubase 5 Portable" file.








I let you know that crashes is something that you must get used to.


First of all because is an unusual way to work that suite of 18 GB with that powerful USB locking ,in some Mbs variation with the same machine specifications.











INSTRUCTIONS

After installation click desktop's icon ,and declaire "Already Registered" and:


1.From Devices/device setup configure your Audio card (Asio) or Installed Asio4all.


2.From Devices/VST connections ,configure inputs & outputs of your Audio card.


3.Restart program


Now you're ready to open a template ,try BASIC for your first steps.





It works in any Win installation since it's portable, I tried it to WinXP SP3 ,with M-Audio Delta 1010 Audio card and everything went fine.


Althought Hypersonic2 seems to work it's better to avoid it.





Although this is for exhibition purposes if you intend to work with it, you must activate auto save every 5 min.,in case of crashes and in case of "encountered problem" just ignore it and save your work.
