 I’m seriously going to need to start making an Excel spreadsheet or something to keep track of which games are being released as “Limited/Special/Collector’s” editions and also which retailer has locked down exclusive rights to sell them.

Case in point with Namco/Bandai’s upcoming 360 title, Tales of Vesperia. Turns out GameStop has snatched up exclusive rights to sell the “Premium Edition“, which is scheduled for release on 08/26/09. Also, GameStop will only be selling the Premium Edition online.

The Premium Edition retails for $69.99. For your extra $10, you get a “Tales of…” 10th Anniversary Music CD containing 22 tracks across nearly all of the Tales series and a Premium Edition Manual/Artbook. Everything comes packed into a special edition steel case, decorated with exclusive cover art by Kosuke Fujishima, Character Designer for nearly every Tales games.
