Description

 The instrumental artistry of World Music sensation Jai Uttal.  All Instrumental (well . . .  almost all instrumental).  Whereas Jai began his journey studying classical piano in Brooklyn, New York, his exploratory nature soon took him to California, where he immersed himself in studies with the legendary Ali Akbar Khan, and eventually to India.  Jai's preferred instruments are the dotar (similar to sarod, but without the sympathetic strings) and harmonium. Guitar and banjo are also featured prominently in his commercial recordings.
